A lot has happened since we announced the first stable release of IMAS-ParaView last year. The tool has grown from a generalized grid viewer into a comprehensive visualization suite for IMAS data - covering simulation meshes, diagnostic geometries, and machine description data.
Seven new reader plugins have been added since version 2.0, covering axisymmetric and non-axisymmetric coil geometries, magnetic diagnostics, camera sightlines and lines of sight, (shattered) pellet injection, particle distributions, and scalar time traces. The GGD reader has also grown more capable, with support for heterogeneous time data, structured 2D grids, and more.
Alongside the readers, a new command-line tool lets you convert existing VTK meshes into GGD grids stored in an IDS, making it easy to bring externally-generated meshes into the IMAS ecosystem. Moreover, the documentation has been improved drastically, and now includes a community gallery showcasing example workflows.
